If I told you it would only take you twenty minutes to prepare a healthy and hearty dinner, would you believe me? This buttery, herbal chicken and asparagus will quickly become a household favorite. But don't take my word for, let's get things started so you can try yourself!

  • Three to six chicken thighs or boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Be sure to pound your breasts to half an inch in thickness to allow for easy cooking.
  • Salt and pepper to preference.
  • One pound of asparagus with the ends trimmed.
  • Three tablespoons of butter.
  • One tablespoon of minced fresh garlic.
  • Half a teaspoon dried basil.
  • Half a teaspoon dried oregano.
  • Half a teaspoon dried thyme.
  • Half a teaspoon of onion powder.
  • Fresh herbs for your garnish.

  1. Begin by seasoning your chicken with your salt and pepper, coating it evenly on both sides. Then take your butter and melt two tablespoons in your skillet over medium high heat. Stir in your garlic and herbs and allow this to cook until your garlic and herbs become fragrant, roughly one minute.
  2. Next, reduce your heat to medium and add your chicken. Cook each side for roughly six minutes.
  3. After you've started cooking your chicken, move it to the side of your pan and add your remaining butter. After it melts, add your asparagus and season it to your preference. While rotating your asparagus, allow it to cook until tender and until your chicken is finished. This will take roughly six minutes.
  4. Serve your meal immediately, garnishing with fresh herbs and cracked black pepper to preference.
